LMP IS PARTNERING WITH SCHOOLS

Liberia Mercy Partners has been directly involved in supporting or building 14 schools in Liberia. An estimated 5,000 students a year are directly impacted and supported through the education partnerships at LMP.

LMP established the very first high school in the Panta District–similar to a county in the US–named the City of Refuge School, making it possible for hundreds of students to go to high school for the very first time. Many have now gone on to earn a college education and have become teachers; returning to teach in the same high school they first went to. It is currently a K-12 school, and well over 400 students attend. 

Currently, LMP is funding the construction of what will be one of the premiere high schools in all of Liberia. When completed, this new school being built for H&P, Firm Foundation School, will include a first class science lab, computer lab, and gymnasium.
